BUmmer that I found you after your last day aired. I just opened my Etsy about a month ago and so far, have made no sales. I only have a few items ontm there right now bc I don't want to keep paying/listing with no return. If I'm still up and running come December, I will try to participate.

I been watching you since 2022, right around when I was getting a sense of what I wanted to sell and how I wanted to execute it. The issue was I had the neccessary tools and knowledge, just had difficulty carrying through on it. Luckily, since then your collection of videos, coaching and overall knowledge has helped me a lot. By the time you critiqued my shop I took all the other advice you gave to sellers during critiques and implemented them into my shop 🤣. Even so, I was able to take what you said and implement them into my shop. Your critique on my shop also reassured my doubts that I am at least doing some things right, and it felt very encouraging! Your teachings I've always looked forward to writing notes and adapting what I learn for my own use. Thank you for taking the time this week and helping sellers, you and Marc! I look forward to joining HAA and learning so much more!🐺🤎

I realize this comment is super late, but maybe someone can answer this. Using her example in the beginning of the video, I get the concept that mugs are an "industry", shirts are an "industry", and that you need to have a niche, a target audience for your shop. But isn't jewelry an "industry"? If a shop sells only jewelry, in the example she used, a shop that sells silver jewelry, what exactly is the niche? Is the niche silver jewelry (which is an "industry")? Who is the specific target audience? Is it moms, teachers, nurses etc.? The target audience is not really specific. Just when I think I get it . . . I don't.

As of today, sellers can't schedule pickups unless it's being shipped with a premium service. Priority mail, etc Etsy is lucky the holidays are soon otherwise, it's completely over for them. They'll have no choice to close soon after the first of the year.

I’m glad people read the reviews as I have had a few ‘smaller than expected’ reviews when the measurements are in the description, photos with a coin and when I know items are particularly small I put words like ‘small’ or ‘tiny’ or ‘cute’ Or I was expecting it to be solid for earrings where I say single sided stamped or hollow back . I wish people would read !

As someone who's given 4,000 Lyft rides and 800 Uber rides, more than likely it was not the driver smoking weed, it was probably a passenger who just got done smoking and jumped in the Uber just before you, I've also had girls who have hidden an Oz in their bra and they kept onstantly adjusting it 😂, plus a drunk dude that forgot they were in an Uber and not their friend's car and lit up a roach. Most of the time us drivers will just pull over and let the car air out before picking up the next passenger, but sometimes we already have another rider in queue before we dropped off the first person or we're in the middle of a Uber or Lyft bonus that that gives us an extra 10 or $15 for completing three rides in a row without turning off the app. The guy who smoked the roach in my car by accident was on one of those bonuses and I told the next passengers what had happened and why I couldn't turn off the app, in hindsight I should have just let the $10 or $15 go and air the car, since the couple and their friends seemed very prudish about it and probably still reported me 😢

I would love to know what Etsy tips are available for Canadians where localization and shipping speed is a factor in being seen by US customers. I am not complaining (been there, done that), just really looking at ways to get in front of US customers as a new POD shop. Should I drive my own traffic to my Etsy listings. I hear Etsy ads are set up for localization as well. Any tips, tricks, advice? What would you do as a new POD seller living in Canada and trying to get in front of US buyers on Etsy? There must be other international sellers who would love to know as well, but there just isn't any solid info out there that I can find. I wonder if it is even worth it for Canadians at this point, and that is fine; I just want to know in order to move forward. Thanks!

If humans were angels, they wouldn't need government or laws. From what I read and seen, sellers have said that they were able to upload designs like 50 in one day. That is a flag whatever color the flag is, it can be a golf flag, but it is a flag (red) or maybe a pink flag. How can a seller design 50 images in one day? As a watercolor artist, it takes me 2½ days to finish one design from drawing, prepping art paper, choosing the right colors to be used, getting water, choosing brushes, and waiting for natural sun light. I even have to find pliers when the tube caps are dried and hard to open, plus finding the right music to listen to while water coloring, don't forget the sponge, towel papers, etc. I painted The Venusian alien and it took me 3 days to finish it. Depending on the paper, you have to wait till the water dries, etc. I have a suspicion that some sellers just copy and paste any design they find on Canva or other clip art repository. The competition is not an even plain field. When their stores are suddenly shut down their approach 50 images a day will bring disastrous results.

By the time this contender is ready to take Australian customers, I think it'll be a bit late for me. For now I'm hiring a social media manager and trying Shopify. I can make and photograph things, even post listing's... But I have never done well with social media. But unfortunately social media is the only way for shoppers to discover you.

I bet that these companies claiming to donate their profits to children charities are not profitable at all and when they turn to green they will only donate a very small part of their earnings. They are trying to fish for naive customers, its kind of disgusting.

I suggested to Goimagine that I would be willing to pay $20.00 per month if the extra 10.00 would be used for offsite ads.

Etsy is now like 80% aliexpress resellers now. I stopped using it.

That's such a shame that it's only US based as I'm in Spain and also sell AI Prompts.Other than that GoImagine sounds like a really good alternative to Etsy and they have their hearts in the right place being charity focused. Kudos to them and fingers crossed they expand into Europe in the future. Thanks for the heads up! :)

I’m not sure I trust the charity aspect. How do they make money, and what is their real goal as a business. As they gain more sellers and buyers they will need to adapt the platform to user needs. How will they do this if all profits go to charity?

Well this isn't happy news. My sales have shrunk to virtually nothing (I've had but a single order in 2024). I'm teetering on the brink of shutting it down.

My only experience (purchasing a downloadable crochet pattern) with GoImagine was NOT great (the seller I purchased from), until Jon Lincoln stepped in. The seller never sent me a link to download my purchase, nor responded to my complaints. 1 email to Jon and I had my pattern in minutes, plus a refund, plus a store credit. I finally receved an email from the seller telling me I'd received my purchase. No acknowledgement or apology for her less than stellar response. I'd purchase more, but there are very few sellers that offer downloadable patterns. I wish more sellers would join GoImagine. Jon is AWESOME!

Go imagine has potential, I see a lot of people abandoning the giant companies, the CARA vs Instagram and Affinity vs Adobe debates are two recent examples of people having a thirst for new better platforms. I think its still a trickle but eventually trickles become a stream and hopefully Goimagine or another manages to usurp Etsy
